"The pair of shoes that I got has too much padding in the ankle area of the shoe. It pushes my foot too far forward in the shoe when I wear my orthotics. Otherwise shoes are ok."

"Recommended by podiatrist - it has a big enough box for my hammer toes. He recommended the 600 or above series"

This is the worse fit I ever got in a New Balance

"I am very disappointed with this shoe! I tried hard for 3 months to adapt, because they don't make the shoe I used to buy and was so happy with it the model 512. I was already on my 5th pair of 512's, because I buy 3 shoes a year. I wear orthotics and need a shoe I can wear around the kitchen at work and it can be around wet areas. I have pain in my foot and ankle every day I wear this shoes, don't know why? I had to go back to my old pair of 512's until I find a solution for my problem. I am a 8.5B and need black shoes to wear in wet situations and that is hard to find."

    Not So Much

"After many hours of comparing shoes from different companies, I decided to try this one. I am on my feet constantly for up to 9 hours a day or better, and can go through shoes in less than six months, depending on how well the shoe is designed. With wet and ice in winter, and rain during the other months, the slip resistance was important, and this shoe delivers on that score. However, I have beginning stages of osteo-arthritis in my feet and old injuries from sports and other activities that require special care and support, and these shoes do not quite do that for me. They are designed for it, according to the description, but since I started wearing them, my feet have bothered me more on a daily basis than my old, run-down shoes I was looking to replace did, even when new. Others may not have that experience with these, and I hope it's only my crazy body. The price was right (I got them on sale), and I was hoping they would be the answer to a daily discomfort. Another thing, these have a side seam that grabs at even the thinnest sock and twists it into my little toe and bugs me."
