Light cross country racing shoe with tons of traction

    Yes, I recommend this product.

"I am running the PA-USATF cross country series and wanted a very light spikeless cross country racing shoe. I chose the New Balance XC900v2. The shoe is very comfortable with a comfortable toe box, firm but nice cushioning in the heel and nice flexibility. It has a plastic rock plate on the bottom of the shoe to mitigate feeling the rocks if you step on them. Due to the narrow tread, I was worried about the stability of the shoe and rolling an ankle. My road racing flats and trail shoes are a much wider base. After my first race, I was pleased at the stability of the XC900v2. My first race was all trails with tons of rocks and some sand. I had no issues with stability. What I liked most about the shoe, besides the comfort, is the traction. These shoes dig in and hold on the the terain! Running the uneven, sharp turns on the trails was very easy with amazing traction and my foot did not move in the shoe. The upper wraps the foot and keeps it snug in the shoe. My only complaint are the laces. To prevent them from coming undone during the race I had to tuck them under the laces running through the eyelets. I'm not sure I would run a 10K in these shoes but they are great for XC races under 6 miles. These are great XC shoes!"

"These are feel-good shoes. A bit too narrow in the ball of the foot."
