Bix 7 Road Race was founded in 1975, with a field of eighty-four runners. Today, it’s the largest non-marathon race in the Midwest, with 15,000 to 18,000 runners from all over the country. Followed by the three-day Bix Beiderbecke Memorial Jazz Festival, this weekend draws Olympic medalists and amateurs alike.
