On June 2, 2010, New Balance invites you to join National Running Day as we take steps together to celebrate running as a simple, rewarding, and accessible key to a healthy lifestyle. Runners across America — casual to elite, young and old, rookie and veteran — will take to the streets, tracks, and trails even if they never have before. Events across the country will help new runners get started and unite packs of folks in training in strolls, fun runs, challenges, and social activities geared towards getting us all moving. If you're out and about in Boston, look for New Balance aid stations along the Charles and near Boston Common.

To celebrate National Running Day and help you with your first step, your first mile, your first 5K, or your next PR, we're giving away 24 pair of running shoes — to represent the 24 hours of the holiday — to the NewBalance.com community throughout the day on June 2. Each will be a pair of our brand new mens and womens 759, before they hit stores nationwide. It's easy to become eligible now for this random drawing — all you have to do is change your NewBalance.com profile photo to a photo of your favorite New Balance shoes, and post a comment on this article down below to show them off. If you currently have a profile here you're half way there — sorry, Facebook connects don't count. If you don't have a profile yet, just do the following:

1. Join the NewBalance.com community.


2. While you are logged in to your new account, visit the Edit Profile page. Click "Change Profile Picture", and find the photo you want to use on your computer. Make sure it's one of your favorite New Balance shoes, or you won't be eligible!


3. Return to this article, and place a comment down below — any comment at all — and that way we'll see your new profile icon.
