Jenny's First of Many

This Saturday Jenny Barringer will be making her debut as a professional runner at the prestigious Jordan Cardinal Invitational at Stanford University, where she'll run the 1500m. With a reputation as one of the top distance carnivals in the US, this event is an exciting beginning for Jenny's pro career. We couldn't be more excited for her.

This isn't her first time competing at Stanford nor her first 1500m, although the two events were separate. Last year at Stanford Jenny set a collegiate record in the women's 5000m with her winning time of 15:07.64. As for the 1500m, Jenny already owns the collegiate record for outdoor, which she ran in just 3:59.90. She's no stranger to records, and though we wish a sincere best of luck to all competitors, we hope Jenny doesn't spare the horses.

To commemorate this exciting event, New Balance and Flotrack teamed up to create an opportunity for fans to guess her track time for the May 1st event. Jenny is running the 1500m in New Balance's LD1006 track spikes. The person with the closest time will win her “smelly but hopefully very fast pair of spikes,” size nine and a half, worn and signed by Jenny herself.
