This is the PERFECT running shoe for anyone with Flat-to-Neutral feet. I've bought a new pair of these (or its predecessor) every year since 1999. They naturally run wide (which is perfect for an Orthapedic Insert__not that it's needed). Stability is an A++, comfort is a A++, and style is an A++. It would be a sad day if New Balance ever discontinued this model. Anyone who develops Plantar Fascitis needs to buy this Sneaker ASAP!! The 'Roll-Bar' is perfect to help overcome this foot injury. In fact, the 'Roll-Bar' is so ingenius that I'm surprised it's not on more New Balance Sneakers. Also, I'm surprised New Balance doesn't make this in a Grey (similar to the 993)? Please New Balance, if you ever discontuinue these shoes, can you contact me so I can purchase 20 more??

I'm a big runner (6'4'' and 260lbs) I was having Achilles and Heel problems from a pair of Nike Triax I was running in. Then I went to my local Running specific shoe store and got fitted with these. Within a week my foot pain was gone. Excellent shoes for keeping your feet from over/under pronating. Overall shoes are heavy and ugly but do the job they are built for.

I am a heavy runner and have been running in NB for years. However, I purchases these a few months ago and have fallen in love. These shoes are excellent and wear very well. I run 4-5 days a week and these workhorses are stil holding strong. Keep up the great work!

As a 200 plus pound runner, I need cusion and comfort for the bottom of my feet. These have been my go to shoes for the past 4 years. Whether long training runs or races I lace up the 587's. If you are a heavy runner and like a good basic running shoes, I would recommend trying the 587.

I love these shoes. They are the highest quality of crafted shoe I have ever owned. They are very comfortable and are great for running, working out at the gym or just walking around town in. I highly recommend buying a pair for yourself!
