I have only had these sneakers for a week, but I couldn't wait to write a review. Here was my situation: I needed cross-trainers for weight training 2-4 days/wk and cardio 2 days/wk (elliptical, stationary bike, stairmaster). I do not run. I have a mild problem with supination (self-diagnosed). After hearing all of this, the New Balance sneaker expert recommended these cross-trainers. And I am so glad she did. The cushioning is perfect, the sneaker has a secure fit all the way to my toes, it is extremely lightweight (even compared to other lightweight sneakers), it moves with me when I bend or flex my foot. As a bonus, there are special no-slip laces that I have never even seen before. I almost want to order another pair!

I've been wearing the 1000-series since their debut in 1998. In the past 12 years, I've had 3 children, patellar tendinitis, chondromalacia, and at one point practically forgot how to walk. These shoes have always "been there" for me. They get a face-lift every year or so, but they NEVER let me down. My P.T. loves them, my orthotics fit perfectly in them, and I've bought no less than 20 pairs of these. I walk hills, strength train, do aerobics, even yoga with these. If New Balance ever discontinues this series, I hope they let me know so I can hoard them. This seller is awesome as well. How liberating to have a shoe I can count on, and a retailer who never lets me down.

I have had thee shoes for about a week and a half now and i absolutely love them. I am a big guy going through a total body transformation( i was over 500 but down to 400 in a year) and i needed a comfortable cross-trainer for the gym because i am there 4-5 days a week for at least 3-4 hours. I do mostly cardio(elliptical, bike, treadmill, StairMaster) and total body sculpting class. My feet feel secure in the shoes, the cushioning is great, and like the previous reviewer stated i like the way the shoes move with my feet, which has been great for Zumba(yes i am a guy and i love it). The shoes also look as great as they feel, i got several compliments the first time i wore them to the gym. I will be ordering a pair in black soon.

Always like New Balance sporting shoes the best. Best fit, best style, best wear.

I was very disappointed by this shoe,2 weeks after buying them, the heal caved in and wouldnt go back to its original position making it very uncomfortable. Poor construction if you ask me. fortunately new balaance is great with customer service and I was able to exchange them for another style.
