New Balance Introduces Dustin Pedroia T-Shirt Collection

Proceeds from T-Shirts to Benefit the Home Base Program

New Balance will introduce a new collection of lifestyle t-shirts, designed in collaboration with New Balance baseball athlete and former league MVP, Dustin Pedroia. Five percent of the MSRP of all sales will be donated to the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program. The nonprofit Home Base Program provides clinical and support services to servicemen and women returning from Afghanistan and Iraq wars with combat-related stress disorders and/or traumatic brain injury (TBI) and their families. New Balance is presenting sponsor of the Run to Home Base 9K, a charitable fundraiser involving thousands of runners to be held on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Fenway Park.

The Dustin Pedroia T-shirt Collection includes 4 adult tees and 1 kids tee, designed to highlight Pedroia's all-star abilities on the baseball field. Styles include the "Signature" tee, featuring Pedroia's trademark camouflage, "Big Swing," "Lazer Show" and "Spark Plug."
The t-shirts debut March 15, 2011 and will retail for $25.00 for adults and $20.00 for kids.
Earlier this spring, New Balance introduced two Dustin Pedroia versions of the New Balance 1103 baseball cleat, both with a DP logo and either Pedroia's signature red camouflage or red and black details. Dubbed a "running shoe on spikes," the 1103 features high performance running technologies to eliminate spike pressure and give an athlete unparalleled comfort and fit on the diamond. Available in multiple widths, the 1103 is equipped with a metal spike outsole for maximum speed and traction on the field. The low-cut will sell for $90.00 and the mid-cut will retail for $95.00. The New Balance YB403, a performance youth cleat featuring a solid rubber outsole, will also be offered in similar Dustin Pedroia designs for $43.00.
