MR883

I was using the 882 and this is the replacement. I think it is as good and possibly a little better. I try to run one marathon each spring and I have been using this shoe for about 8 weeks now and it seem to be a good shoe. I usualy know if a shoe is wrong for me because my knees and hips will start to hurt as soon as I try to increase my weekly training mileage and this has not happened with this shoe. I have 150 miles logged on this shoe so far.

883 has been an excellent shoe for me. Was skeptical about lack of stability as I am a true clydesdale at 6'9" and 300 lbs but they have worked out extremely well. Have run 40+ miles in them so far and they have showed little tread wear. I also have a high arch which may not be a good fit for the 883 but my custom orthotics provide me with the arch support I need and the 883 provides plenty of room for the orthotic to fit properly. The 883's feel like pillows on my feet and the SL-2 last is perfect for my foot shape. Used the on-line "ask an expert" to provide this shoe recomendation and they nailed it! Thank you New Balance and keep up the excellent service.

The wide toe box easied numbness I was having in my toes. It's been a comfortable shoe for 12 5ks, 2 10ks and 1 1/2. I have arthritis in my spine making heel shock protection important to me.

I purchased these shoes for my husband, 42Y/O. He has always had trouble finding shoes to fit his narrow feet, but says these are the best fitting shoes he's ever owned. He's a heel-stricker with arthritis in his spine, hips, knees and right foot (he broke his heel bone several years ago). With these shoes he is able to increase the intensity of his pace and distance on the treadmill.
