Was hoping these were a replacement for the beloved and discontinued 825/826 neutral lightweight series. Alas, the shoe had a loose fit with too much interior volume and more of a casual athletic shoe feel. It just didn't have the high quality feel I'm used to with NB. I'm holding onto my last remaining pair of NB 825s solely for marathon racing because they are so perfectly lightweight yet cushioned. My stats: competitive racer 5k to marathon, size 11N foot, midfoot striker. Weekly mileage: 40 - 60mpw
Our 738 would be a possible replacement for your 826 in that the shoe is a neutral running shoe. But our 758 is the most commonly recommended replacement, so check it out. Also, if you are a midfoot striker then you could consider our RT801 midfoot strike shoe. Have you tried that model? We are happy to work with you, just contact us.

Looking for a replacement for the 825. This is not it! I have been running in New Balance shoes for over 10 yrs and have never gotten a blister...until I ran in these shoes. On a 10 mile run I got a huge blister on my forefoot. Very disappointed in New Balance right now. Going to try one more shoe before I change to another brand. Where are the lightweight neutral shoes from New Balance?
Blisters are the prime indicator of a poor fit, so let's first ensure that your shoe was fitting correctly before deciding that the model itself is not right for your needs. It could very well be that a half size bigger 738 would be perfect. We make several lightweight neutral shoes, check some out here: http://www.NBwebexpress.com/search_results.asp?qry=women's+runcushion. Shoes like our WR758 and WT100 are very lightweight and in fact the 758 is the most recommended style to replace the 825 you mentioned. Let's talk - as you noted, we have been the brand that meets any running need you have and we want to remain that brand for you.
