Me: 33, 100lbs, shoe size 5.5, marathon/distance runner, 35-40 miles per week, 8:20 minute miles. I have been training for barefoot running for about 4 months. These were the first minimalist shoes I purchased. I *loved* them at first; I could fully feel my feet hugging the ground, and get a full forefoot strike. I was a bit concerned about the rubbing I was getting on and between my toes, I ignored it and continued to run. I ran pavement and trail in these shoes, altogether 46 miles over about a week 1/2, including a straight 14 mile run. Last night I ran a 10 miler and just couldn't ignore the blisters anymore. I have developed intolerable blisters between my big toe and second toes, and all around the outside of both big toes. I've actually never had blisters this bad. The toe box is just too narrow. I was surprised when I took them out of the box for the first time how much of a point the toe came to. It's so disappointing, because these shoes feel great in every other way, but being on the forefoot, for me at least, there is no escape from the squished up toe rubbing. I'm sadly returning them.
