Sewn into the fabric of our company since its inception in 1906 is the desire to give back to the communities in which we live and work. This desire to make a lasting impact shapes our corporate culture, our business practices and our vision for the future.

As we've grown from a small, Boston-based arch support company into a global athletic product company, the number of communities and ways in
which we've been able to impact them has grown in stride. These contributions are guided by our Mission Statement:

Steering Committee

To ensure we adhere to these beliefs as we evolve and grow, we created the Responsible Leadership Steering Committee. In a fast-paced, rapidly changing world, this group acts as a touchstone to the core values of New Balance, guided by the following principles:

  • Commit to sharing what we know and offer generously what we can give
  • Reduce or eliminate negative impact on the environment by designing and building products with end-of-life in mind
