"Running in the Panathenaic Stadium reminds me of my goals and makes me proud of my accomplishments. It makes me appreciate the historical importance of the sport even more."
"The Great Wall is surprisingly hilly! I went really early in the morning and there were only a few other people at the wall. I ran on the flattest stretch for only a mile or two. It was so incredible! The forest surrounding the wall is so lush, the mountains the wall sits on are steep and it creates a stunning vista. Running on such a historic site was so memorable. I don't think running is encouraged, if you try it, be sneaky!"
"This is the green space around the Eiffel Tower. Finding soft surface running in a big city is always a challenge, but the Champ de Mars has dirt paths around the outside of the 60-acre green space. Running in the shadow of the Eiffel Tour is amazing. I wouldn't recommend it for a long run, because there are lots of people and it's not too far around, but it's perfect for an easy day."
"There is a path that runs along the lakes in St. Moritz, Switzerland, that goes for MILES. Running alongside the water, on a dirt path, underneath the mountains is beautiful and is the best running I've found in Europe."
"Crested Butte, Colorado, is the best place to run in the entire world. I am biased because I grew up there, but running there is perfect in my opinion. Crested Butte sits at 9,000 ft. and has lots of single track trails. It is the wildflower capital of Colorado, so running in the summer often entails running through knee high (or waist high!) flowers. In the fall, the aspen leaves change colors and paint the scene orange. It's gorgeous. I don't recommend running there in the winter or spring, though, because they get so much snow!"
