You always have the advantage with the revamped 696v3. Nail every forehand, backhand and groundstroke shot with newly designed elements like an updated herringbone outsole pattern that helps maximize performance on hard courts, perforation details in the forefoot that allow more breathability to keep you comfortable and a REVlite midsole for lightweight cushioning so you stay relaxed even as the competition heats up.
The New Balance women’s 696v3 features a durable leather/mesh upper and a lightweight, cushioned midsole to give you what you need to take on the competition.

An innovative foam compound providing the same responsiveness and durability of New Balance foams 30% heavier. REVlite offers a lightweight ride without minimizing construction or sacrificing underfoot cushioning or stability.
This is my second pair of tennis shoes from NB and they were exactly as expected - they fit well, looked like the photo and should last a long time. I am pleased.

It's ironic that a shoe without the n-durance guarantee has been the longest-lasting for me. This shoe has lasted twice as long for me as a normal NB shoe.
I had to modify this shoe. You can see in the picture how the toe box is pointed, rounded, and symmetrical. My feet (and human feet, in general) are not shaped like this. The sole of the shoe was extremely stiff and didn't loosen up until my coach and I bent the soles at 90 degrees repeatedly until we read more heard a sound from the shoe that sounded like someone's back cracking at the chiropractor's.
After doing these modifications the shoes became very comfortable, and the soles lasted far beyond my expectations. read less

Size template changed?
June 20, 2017
I always buy the same NB tennis shoe model and size, but this was the first time doing so through the NB website. Perhaps they changed the manufacture location, because these were way too small.
Returning them was not easy because only 'participating' NB stores will accept them. Apparently NB stores are individually owned. And guess what...the credit issued is also only good at 'participating' NB stores.
Got a different customer service response every read more time I called and did not appreciate the kid who told me he was doing me a favor by allowing a return this one time.
Never again...back to Prince for me. read less
