Beware! Nothing like the 580 used to be!

    - California, US

"If "RevLite" is the new standard for 580s, and if you appreciate classic 580 feeling and quality, beware! Where different rubbers and individual stand-alone parts were once used on the 580, it's now instead just one gigantic single-piece foam bottom block that's *painted to look like it's made of different parts*. The once all-rubber sole is now designed with a hole in it (ostensibly to save money on rubber) with that same huge cheap foam bottom block showing through, leaving you with approximately 60% true rubber coverage and protection underfoot. Bottoms under ball of foot feel super thin compared to old 580s. While I've only been very casually wearing them a couple of weeks now, they clearly feel like they aren't going to last. The insole is bizarrely lumpy feeling, and the outer leather is already showing notable creasing for what little time they have been used so far. Not good."
