Did you think it could get better than barefoot? Make way for the latest evolution of the Minimus 10, and prepare for a barefoot experience that’s more unbelievable than ever. The Minimus 10v2 features a natural 4mm drop, a new Vibram® outsole and lightweight mesh upper, along with a no-sew forefoot construction that minimizes the shoe’s weight and reduces seam friction, meaning a shoe that’s, almost inconceivably, much lighter and more durable than before. But our favorite part? The glow in the dark rubber and upper that help enhance your cool factor and visibility.

With only a 4mm drop* from heel to toe, as little as a third of that of a traditional running shoe, the Minimus collection holds a world of discovery for neutral runners as well as those with gait issues or chronic injury to conquer by learning better form.

"This is the best shoe I have ever run in. Period. I am completely sold on minimal technology(or lack of technology). This shoe allows your foot to work the way it was meant to. With a wide forefoot and tighter heel area it feels like a slipper when you put it on. It definitely gets some getting used to so ease it into your training if this is your first minimal shoe. The one downside I have found is that it is not very good on rocky trails like the ones we have here in New England. I use my minimus zero's, which ironically have more cushioning, for trail runs. It isn't the most durable shoe either, but I've put over 400 miles on two pairs now. They are beat up but still wearable. Thanks NB for this version and keep making it in more colors."

"In February I bought the MINIMUS 10V2 TRAIL and returned them after only three weeks of use because they came apart at the front of the outer soul. But, I went ahead and gave New Balance a second chance with this shoe. It is now June and a will be returning this pair because, yet again, the shoes are coming apart. This time at the eyelet making them untieable. It's disappointing because both pairs of shoes were great for running."
