    Best Minimus so far

"This is the third pair of Minimus training shoes I've owned, and I love the updated version. The added cushioning helps during WODs that have running, yet they are firm and stable enough for all but the heaviest lifting sessions. As always, the fit and quality are spot on. I highly recommend them to anyone doing boot camp type workouts."

"Love these shoes. They hold your feet well during cross training and other agility workouts. They also provide good stability while lifting. Very happy with these shoes."

Great training shoe with just enough cushion

"I got these to replace a pair a Minimus that I had been training in for over a year. They are discontinued it seems, but they were the predecessor to the Minimus 200 offered now. I loved lifting in them, but when it came time for boot camp type classes, the lack of shock absorption hurt by the end of the class. These shoes, with their still minimal heel drop and just enough cushion allow me to do boot camps pain free and not have to strip them off for squats and deadlifts. I would say I would buy again, but I'm hoping that in a year or so New Balance will improve on the design and I'll get those."

Forcing myself into better habits -- Minimus is helping

"I bought the Minimus Trainer specifically to help me get into a much more natural running style -- I'm trying to preserve my knees by using my body's natural shock absorbers in my running stride/ strike. The Minimus is giving me exactly the biofeedback I was hoping for, and my running style is changing as a result."

"For me, this is the happiest I've been with a Minimus shoe. I've been training/walking with the Minimus Zero road for 3+ years, and that was great in terms of lightness and flex. I tried the new 200 trainer and felt that the sole was too contoured. This shoe is for: people who want a training shoe, not crossfit specific, that has minimal heel drop, exceptional materials & construction, has some shock absorbance without too much sole squishiness, sole FLEX (not squish) to help with running or non-squad/DL exercises, and looks great outside of the gym. It is not a sock shoe, a crossfit designed shoe, or a real running shoe. I ordered the silver one and will probably order the red one as well."

    Not really a minimal shoe

"Meh. NB is branding this as a Minimus but I don't really think it is a minimal shoe. Compared to the previous Minimus running and cross training shoes I've owned, there is a lot more cushioning. I can't really feel the ground through this shoe. The forefoot is also much narrower/snugger and doesn't really allow your foot to "splay". I got 2E width and it still feels snug. You can see this in the footprint of the shoe compared to previous iterations of the Minimus shoes. I really don't get it. NB already makes many other shoe models for those not into minimal shoes. I don't understand the decisions behind this latest iteration. My favorite Minimus shoes for crosstraining and running was the MX20v4. Please bring that model back, NB."
