Great shoe. I use them strictly at my table tennis club and I'm very happy with them. I tried on other Minimus shoes but the burrito tongue was a show stopper for me as it would dig in too much at the top of my foot. The Minimus 40 with its traditional tongue was way more comfortable. They are light, stable and secure and work great for the quick lateral movements needed in table tennis. I like the 4mm drop as I feel close to the ground, planted and yet light read more

Have tried quite a few shoes for XF and, until now, the best fitting shoes for my feet were the Inov-8 F195. Second was an earlier version (MT20GR) in the NB Minimus line. More recently, I was primarily training in the Reebok Speed TRs, which fit okay but were still a bit sloppy. I decided to try the MX40s and it was love at first try. 12s fit perfectly and I have now put these through the paces from rope climbs, oly lifts, running WODS, etc., and they read more

I ordered the EE but it was basically a D in EE clothing.

When "Wide" Isn't Wide

I have always preferred New Balance when it comes to sneakers because I require wide sized shoes. When I saw this new trainer I thought I'd give it a try for Crossfitting and running after owning No Bull's, Inov-8's and previous versions of NewB. I am extremely disappointing in this sneaker. After wishing my previous sneakers were just a bit wider, I thought these would be the answer, but they are not. Please make a wide shoe again, New Balance...I'll be taking read more

No complaints with the shoe! The width (2E) runs a little narrower than expected, but feels good as it is. If the shoe hold up well over time (2 workouts a week), then it will definitely be an excellent purchase.

Not really a minimal shoe

Meh. NB is branding this as a Minimus but I don't really think it is a minimal shoe. Compared to the previous Minimus running and cross training shoes I've owned, there is a lot more cushioning. I can't really feel the ground through this shoe. The forefoot is also much narrower/snugger and doesn't really allow your foot to "splay". I got 2E width and it still feels snug. You can see this in the footprint of the shoe compared to previous iterations of the read more

Like these they are comfortable use to where the other brand names but New Balance is what's up I left weight heavy at times and like that the fit snug and not to loose or to tight. And they are also good for my cardio work as well.

the shoe felt great, I wore 10.5d before, but now normal 10d fit me very well. I want to retire my old nike trainer to a fitted one, then this shoe came across. I received the shoe, and tried out for it, i found lightly pressure point developed where the "crease" of the upper material around my toe when lightly bending the shoe (from walking carpet & tring the flex). then start with finger test, i found one index finger fitted with feet in length, so i wore read more

I've worn these now for two weeks, and can honestly say they are the best trainers I've had. I they have the perfect blend support and cushion while still being "minimal" . Only open question is their durability. Based on the sole's composition i expect them to be long lasting. Also luv how hey come in 12.5 so the fit is perfect.

Love these shoes for WODs - heel is solid enough for over-heads, but the shoe is light and comfortable enough for runs and box jumps. Only issue I had is the grey is a lot closer to navy blue - but very happy with them.
