"Have been running with this shoe for an year now. It's very, very nice pair of shoes. It's almost like running bare foot but with a little protection against rocks etc. Just be sure that you know what you're doing when starting to run with minimalist/barefoot shoes."

    First minimalist shoe buy

    3/11/15 by | Farmington Hills,MI

    • Used Product For: 8 or more weeks
    • Miles with Product: 20+ miles
    • Avg Miles Per Week: 6-10 miles
    • Primary Activity: Running

    Yes, I recommend this product.

"I gave these shoes a shot even though upon trying them on they were a bit narrow and very snug. I bought these shoes online as part of a promo deal and did not want to go through the hassle of returning and exchanging. The shoes broke in fairly quickly and I enjoyed the feeling of no shoe being on my foot. The durability of this shoe as I have had them for a solid year now I can say they are still in great condition. I workout weight training/running and these shoes keep up with both. I would recommend these shoes with a warning to transition to a minimalist shoe. My feet were sore and my shins throbbed also my calves ached the first week I wore these shoes. After wearing these shoes for about 5-6 months I no longer had any problems. These shoes have definitely strengthened my calves shins and feet. This was my second purchase from new balance for running shoes, I am going to try Skora's fit shoe next."

    Great shoe except

1/11/15 by | Newport Beach, CA

    • Used Product For: less than 2 weeks
    • Miles with Product: 0-5 miles
    • Avg Miles Per Week: 20+ miles
    • Primary Activity: Running

    Yes, I recommend this product.

"I love everything about this shoe, except the heel cup is not high enough to keep the heel from slipping and it requires a bit more insole padding. I use the Speciallized insoles which distribute the foot strike forces across the entire foot and they seem to be zero drop. Too bad. I still run in the 1010's. Hopefully you will address these issues in a future model."

Excellent minimalist shoe through 600 miles of training.

    9/5/14 by | Boston, MA

    • Avg Miles Per Week: 20+ miles

"This is my second pair of minimalist shoes, both of which were from New Balance. I wore this pair exclusively through 18 weeks of marathon training averaging 40-50 miles per week. Even though the shoe may look delicate, they really stood up to the wear of 6x per week running. The vibram sole just lasts forever! I swear they must make the sole out of wolverine hide. I just came to the site to buy another pair and decided to add my favorable review for this shoe. Make sure you buy the 2E if you have wide feet."

    Bulky and Unlike original

6/4/14 by | New York, NY

    • Used Product For: 2-4 weeks
    • Miles with Product: 11-15 miles
    • Avg Miles Per Week: 20+ miles
    • Primary Activity: Running

"This shoe is terrible. The shoe itself is bulky and feels very wide. Also, I am not a fan of the material, it feels very cheap and can see blisters arising everywhere if you wear them without socks. Unfortunately they no longer make the Minimus Road 00, the NB 1600s or the NB 1400s. I'm gonna have to go back to the Nike Zoom Streak which are light weight and great for racing."
