"Shoe looks good and is comfortable, but a bad glue job quickly led to de-lamination of the sole. Bad Quality Assurance."

    A fine shoe

"I've been running in these for the past few weeks, mostly on country roads. So far, they've held up to over 100 miles on grass, road, and trail and show no sign of significant wear. This is my first pair of New Balance minimalist shoes and I am happy to say they won't be my last. The one-piece upper is the first which hasn't rubbed my feet raw during the breaking-in period. The Vibram outsole is thin enough to feel the texture of the road, while thick enough to protect against stones; it provides the slight amount of cushioning I think is necessary for long-distance minimalist road-running. The overall flexibility of the shoe promotes good form. The fact that I can get these in size 14 EE is a plus as I have big floppy feet and tend to blow out narrower shoes on a regular basis. Tread is light, so traction may become an issue on more technical routes (to be determined). Nevertheless, a fine shoe."

"Excellent running shoe. I am using this shoe after 6 months of using a different minimalist shoe, and I'm liking it much better. This shoe is a must have for minimalist/barefoot runners. It offers the lack of support that we crave but protects your feet from harmful objects on the ground. It definitely lets your feet do the work. This shoe works great for me on the track, road, and trail. I use it for everything from sprints to distance runs. They are also pretty attractive (I have the gray and orange pair). I will definitely buy again."

"Have been running with this shoe for an year now. It's very, very nice pair of shoes. It's almost like running bare foot but with a little protection against rocks etc. Just be sure that you know what you're doing when starting to run with minimalist/barefoot shoes."

    First minimalist shoe buy

"I gave these shoes a shot even though upon trying them on they were a bit narrow and very snug. I bought these shoes online as part of a promo deal and did not want to go through the hassle of returning and exchanging. The shoes broke in fairly quickly and I enjoyed the feeling of no shoe being on my foot. The durability of this shoe as I have had them for a solid year now I can say they are still in great condition. I workout weight training/running and these shoes keep up with both. I would recommend these shoes with a warning to transition to a minimalist shoe. My feet were sore and my shins throbbed also my calves ached the first week I wore these shoes. After wearing these shoes for about 5-6 months I no longer had any problems. These shoes have definitely strengthened my calves shins and feet. This was my second purchase from new balance for running shoes, I am going to try Skora's fit shoe next."
