The continued decline of the country walker

"This boot looks cheap. The materials and construction seem cheap. I have thirteen pair of New Balance shoes and boots all size 10 4E. I wear New Balance motion control insoles in all of these. The 1569 is to narrow in a 10 4E and a bit to short. The 10 6E is to wide. The toe box is small and causes blisters even in the 10 6E that is to wide. Very Disappointed. Please bring back the 977."

New Balance shoe length is not uniform, and half sizes not available above size 12..

    Yes, I recommend this product.

"The 1569 12B is shorter than my other New Balance shoes, e.g. 967, 928M1540WB1, DAL03BK. I needed to purchase a 13B. Probably only needed a 12.5B, but the 1569 is not available in a 12.5 size. Half sizes are only available below 12."

"I bought these boots in early October when I moved to the country to use as daily walkers. They were great. Good fit, easy on the feet and legs, dry even in ankle deep water. Now it's May and I noticed my toes getting damp walking in wet grass. Seems the gore-tex liner has worn through where my toes contact the inside top of the shoe. The water proofing is now completely compromised. Still a great fit, but a real disappointment after such a great start. Now to be completely fair I have to say that I have a hard time fitting shoes and an odd gait/stride that could have contributed to this early wear issue. But it is disappointing in a shoe of this price. 8 months is just too short."

    Keeps me upright

"I bought these for the harsh winters we often get in lots of ice, etc. Also, I have pronation problems along with issues that have earned me a low back with metal for extra stability. So, a "motion control" shoe is mandatory wear for me. Once I broke the boots in, the love affair my feet have with them never ceases to amaze me. I don't "get" the issues others have, but I don't have their problems. I use a good grade of wool sock in them, as it helps with the cushioning. I'm going to buy their low rider twin shortly as my walking shoe."

"These shoes are a little tight at first but after the break in they are awesome. i have no more back pain which is one reason i selected these hoping that they would help. I have had these for about 3 weeks now and went on a 13 mile hike last week. they exceeded my expectations I plan to to wear these in a couple weeks for a 1 week hike on the AT. I wore my regular shoes today and within 2 hours I had back pain. All I can say it NB has it going.."
