Since 1981, New Balance Foundation has invested in proven pathways to help young people achieve their goals. Our grantmaking focuses on community-led, outcomes-driven initiatives that promote access to sport, educational support, career readiness and overall well-being.
We have granted over $150 million to date to trailblazing non-profits across the globe. This includes more than $12 million in donations to 90 non-profits in 2024 alone.

Together with our grantees, we are focused on driving lifelong health and success of young people in the neighborhoods where New Balance associates live and work. We take a ‘whole child, whole family’ approach centered on the positive youth development framework and guided by a commitment to equity. By addressing systemic barriers, we strive to create and grow opportunities for young people who face greater challenges. We aim to help our portfolio grantees grow, scale, and innovate to build transformative pathways for young people. At New Balance Foundation, our investments are long-term, intentional, and collaborative. We recognize the critical role community organizations play in helping young people achieve their goals.

New grant seekers must be invited to apply.
Though small, our team is hands-on in grant making and relationship building. Our investments are often longer term than other corporate foundations. This means that our staff is working year-round with our portfolio grantees, while also seeking new organizations to invest in. Our focus remains on maximizing impact and working collaboratively with our current and future portfolio grantees.
We are currently operating within an invitation-only framework while we build out our portfolio and geographic reach. As a result, we cannot accept unsolicited applications at this time.
